Trail Release expanded the problem space that Citizen Synergy Exchanges can solve substantially. Some highlights include:

1. Beside reporting your health status, you can now report an endless number of statuses about you and the environment around you, from pot holes on the road to lost handbags to active shooter in the building.

2. Another new feature is the change from a one way data COLLECTORS into bidirectional data EXCHANGES. All your reports are now tracked with blockchain secured y20coins, so you have a trusted ledger on how much data contributions you have made.

From this release onwards, we are moving to a more predictable half yearly timeframe of releasing every 6 months on the THIRD Wednesday of each half year.

Features will be frozen at each half yearly release, 88.io will provide feature support and bug fixes at least 3 years for each releases. Your local citizen ecosystems may choose to extend support and bug fixes for longer periods.

24.07 Countries

Initially, the focus for the 24.04 release is on the aunsw region (New South Wales Australia).

Only aunsw will have access to ALL features (e.g. high resolution aerial maps), all regions are supported on a best effort basis.

• DNSSEC must be on turned on for all Private Cyberspace entities.

4. Countries

Only private cyberspaces in Australia have access to all features, all other private cyberspaces are partially supported by the Australia Ecosystem until their own ecosystems are available.

Some features missing for overseas private cyberspaces:

1. No high resolution aerial maps.
2. No online identity checks e.g. passport, driver license.
3. No high speed geo databases.

Before this release only aunsw is fully supported, the remaining states and territories in Australia will be fully supported from this release:

25.01 Release

This is our first Long Term Support (LTS) release with bug fixes and security patches for at least 3 years.

• All October releases after this will also be LTS releases suitable for general production, with at least 3 years support.
• All other releases (January, April, July) are for entities that like to experience the latest technologies at the expense of stability by updating to new quarterly releases, these releases only have 1 year support.

Although updating once every year to the next LTS release is recommended, with an existing LTS release if you are happy with what you have, you generally do NOT have to update for at least 3 years. Your local Citizen Ecosystem might provide even longer support duration to LTS releases.

• Infinite Disk uses OverlayFS instead of fuse-overlayfs to improvement performance.
• Virtual Private Mesh supports Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).
