# Production Team

[aunsw.au](http://aunsw.au) is the "production" quality [Area Team](https://discuss.88.io/t/area-teams/526) for the region of New South Wales, Australia. It is the follow on from [aunsw.88.io](http://aunsw.88.io) and expected to be available in May-2026:

You can tell from the colour of the logo whether you are using compute from [aunsw.au](http://aunsw.au) production team (green colour) or the [aunsw.88.io](http://aunsw.88.io) staging team (blue colour).

Like the [aunsw.88.io](http://aunsw.88.io) regional team, the [aunsw.au](http://aunsw.au) regional team also operates as a NON-PROFIT.

Regional Teams are very different to the National Teams (e.g. [au.88.io](http://au.88.io) and au.au) which hold intellectual properties and are supposed to operate as a FOR PROFIT company and majority owned by the LOCAL citizens, governments and corporations of that country.
