# Country Code Style Recommendation

The standard for country code is the 3-character [ISO 3166-1 alpha-3](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-1_alpha-3)

e.g. to use a code to represent Australia use AUS instead of AU

2-character country codes should be AVOIDED as they are used by too many organisations with their own slightly different rules.
