App Password
It is preferred to use an app password your generate instead of your account password. It can be limited to IMAP and revoked on its own.

mail.88.io : mail.88.io/user → App passwords, tick IMAP only (results open in Tachyon inside Nextcloud unless you choose another webmail)

Gmail (imap.gmail.com): myaccount.google.com/apppasswords ·

iCloud (imap.mail.me.com): account.apple.com → Sign-In and Security → App-Specific Passwords ·

Yahoo (imap.mail.yahoo.com): Yahoo account security → Generate app password ·

QQ (imap.qq.com): QQ Mail → Settings → Account → IMAP/SMTP service → authorization code (授权码), used as the password. Outlook.com / Hotmail allow no password login at all and cannot be added.
