4. Alias File
Identity Security -> Alias List -> Alias Management.
Alias File Name
There are two different file names:
- For Alias, the file name ends with .alias
- For History, the file name ends with .aliaslist
How to Import
Click on the Import Alias button -> Select load from local disk -> Browse to the folder where the Alias file is located (normally in the Download folder) -> Enter the password.
In the example below, a different Alias is imported.
How to Export
Click on the 8 character Alias ID to be exported, e.g: xgibp7jv and a QR Code will be displayed.
Click on the Export Alias button and enter the password for the Alias to be exported.
The alias will be downloaded to the local folder (normally to the Download folder).
NOTE: For Safari on iOS certain versions, the Alias is not automatically downloaded. It is
only displayed in the Download list and it needs to be manually downloaded. Click on the down black arrow to show the Download list.
Then click on Downloads to display the alias.
Click on the alias and then click on the down arrow (see the purple circle below)
Click on Save to Files to download the alias file.
