Australian Medicare Card
Medicare is Australia's public health care system and covers many health care costs. Residents can choose whether to have Medicare cover only, or a combination of Medicare and private health insurance.
There are 3 Mediacare Card Colours
- Green - for standard Medicare cards
- Blue - for interim Medicare cards
- Yellow - for Reciprocal Health Care Agreement Medicare cards
1. Accepted Data
If you have an Australian Medicare Card you can attach the following to your alias:
- your name on the card
- your birthday on the card
2. Data Input
The following data are required if you verify your Medicare Card details with your Alias Console.
Success
If the verification is successful, the Verification Token will be displayed where
- 2025-09-11 is the date of the verification
- 2027-09-11 is the date the verification will expire
- 1234567890 is the Medicare Card number
Failure
If the verification fails, you will get an error message. Below is the error given if the birthday is wrong.
3. Label Input
The Manage Label button allows the user to have the URL to be redirected to a different URL automatically. In the example below, the URL created is https://138813.au/johnsmithaunsw and it can be automatically redirected to a different URL by putting the URL in the Publish as Label field.
