Area Alias Usage Guide

Area Aliases enable individuals to secure their online identities by leveraging the collective compute owner resources in their local area entities - by making just ONE CALL.

1. Create Area Alias

Two simple steps to secure your online identity instantly by creating your own Area Alias with in seconds:

If you are OUTSIDE of Australia, call +61 2 8002 0000 instead of +61 138813.

2. Sample Area Applications

Team Compute has 50+ advantages over Cloud Compute, due to lack of space, we highlight just one of many cloud problems that Team Compute fixes below.

3. Overseas Areas

You will be using the New South Wales (aunsw) area entity to get started with compute ownership but you should build your own compute assets with your fellow citizens in your own areas for production use.

Step 1 - Call Phone Number

Step 1 involves you calling 138813 from your mobile phone and then receiving an SMS from 138813.

If you are OUTSIDE of Australia, you need to call +61 2 8002 0000 instead of +61 138813.

Your phone number must be a mobile number and must only be for an individual human's personal use (e.g. it is NOT for a business, an organisation, a project, a group, a government department etc.).

Call 138813

This step involves a real human calling 138813 (or +612 8002 0000) on their personal mobile phone number from their home region and saying the name of that home region.

Welcome, to secure your online identity, please say the full name of your home region (state) after the beep.

Your country will be automatically detected from your phone number, you simply need to say in English your home region (which is the region that you are currently in).

By "region" we mean the Subdivision Name in the ISO 3166-2 standard. Different countries will called their "regions" differently e.g. in Australia the ISO3166-2 "regions" are called "states" and "territories" locally.

138813 will detect the REGION you said and play the region name back to you, asking for confirmation:

Is it REGION? Please say yes or no after the beep.

  • If that REGION is correct

    • say Yes
    • this means the correct region name has been detected.
  • If that REGION is NOT correct

    • say No
    • this means the wrong region name has been detected.
    • you will then be asked to say the REGION again and see whether it will be detected correctly the second time.
    • the second region detection will be played back to you and you need to confirm with "Yes" or "No" whether the region name is now correct.
    • if the region name is now correct you will proceed to answer the next question otherwise you will be transferred to agent training so you can set up your personal voice model for that region.

Note:

  1. Currently only offical English Region Names from the ISO 3166-2 are supported.
  2. If you country is NOT currently supported, 138813 will start to set up your country into the system and it will send you an SMS after your country has been set up.

You MUST call in from the SAME country as your phone number e.g. if you are calling in from a phone number with country code +61 then you must call in from Australia.

Receive SMS from 138813

After your call into 138813 above, a web page for your phone number will be created. You can proceed to Step 2 which involves visiting that newly created web page for your phone number.

Step 2 - Visit Web Page

Step 2 involve visiting the web page of your phone number. The web page

Your phone number web page contains 12 alphanumeric characters that . For example:

  • In Step 1, if you called into 138813 with your Phone Number:
    +61499331111

  • In Step 2, your Phone Number Web Page will be:
    138813.au/abc123xyz456

Once you click on the link in the SMS or typed in the web page on your web browser, your Personal Console will be loaded into your web browser. You can then continue with Step 2 using your Personal Console in your web browser .

1. Region Verified

After your Personal Console has been loaded, it will proceed to verify the Region you are currently in using data from 3 different sources.

Once your region has been verified by those 3 different sources to be the SAME:

  1. Speech Region - the region you say during your call to 138813
  2. IP Region - the region detected from your IP Address.
  3. Web Region - the region detect by your Web Browser

An Area Alias Created message will pop-up on your Personal Console.

On the "Area Alias Created" notification, you have the opportunity to enter the phone number of the person who helped you with or referred you to compute ownership.

This is just for the record, as Area Alias do not have Interval Coin Wallet, it is up to the Community Entity that you will be joining

The person must have an Area Alias already and given you permission to enter their phone number as referrer.

You must have the permission of that person to enter the phone number and make sure to ask for permission to use their phone number this way from that person. This will give both of you opportunity to earn Interval Coin for this introduction activity.

Only when either of you has a Community Alias, can the Referrer Bonus be claimed.

When prompted, please enter the password for Area Alias (minimum 8 alphanumeric characters) and save the Area Alias to your phone by downloading it.

Note:
If any of the region does not match to the other two regions, the device verification will fail.

In the example below, the phone region is auvic where the web region and the ip region are aunsw.

3. Map Pin

The Area Alias creation process is completed when a Grey Pin is placed on the map of your Personal Console.

4. Timeline Confirmation

The Identity Server is displayed In Area Teams -> Teams -> Team A -> Application menu.

Create Secondary Aliases

After the Area Alias has been created on your mobile phone, you can use the SAME phone number to create up to TWO more secondary aliases on two other devices that you own e.g. your laptop or desktop computer.

Note: a maximum of 1 call per day applies to +61 138813 number. There is no limit in calling +61 2 8002 0000.

If you are OUTSIDE of Australia, call +61 2 8002 0000 instead of +61 138813.

Unlike the first Area Alias web link which is sent via SMS, for additional device verification, the link is sent via email:

  • From the same mobile phone number, ring +61 2 8002 0000
  • When prompted to say the command, say "Creation" and follow the prompt.
  • Once completed, on console.aunsw.88.io go to Area Teams -> Area Applications -> email -> login using the details from the Timeline Confirmation or go to Area Teams -> Teams -> Team A -> Application.
  • The web link email will be in the Inbox -> Unsigned subfolder.

Once the secondary alias has been created, the link will be in the Verify Link email. In the example below, the link is https://138813.au/oryzjq8mfhy4

Windows Example

Issue Command with Community Alias

Although the 138813 Phone Portal is mainly used to secure online identities (by pinning them down to specific regions) through the creation of of Area Aliases, 138813 can also be used by Community Aliases to issue voice commands to their Entity Agents.

For Community Entities that cannot afford to maintain their own Phone Portals, 138813 is a cheap and rapid way of enabling voice commands for all their Community Aliases.

Collect Data with Private Alias

If you DO NOT want to disclose your phone number, you can still evolve from a computer user to a compute owner by using a Private Alias.

With Private Alias you DO NOT need to call into 138813 ... ever.
