Open Software
Area Entities (e.g. aunsw) are encouraged to deploy some open software applications that function similar to existing Cloud applications, so compute owners can gain experience operating in a Cloud Reduced mode.
Although these are NOT the revolutionary community cluster applications we are rolling out, these traditional applications can important first steps for some Compute Owners in their Cloud Compute to Team Compute migration process.
We expect the function of these migration applications to improve rapidly overtime as we bundle them with each new Entity Agent, but everyone need to understand that these are NOT the same application as the Cloud applications they are replacing. They will offer more features in some areas and less in others.
