Storage Team
Like the rest of Team Compute, Infinite Disk is a team afford. Many other Compute Owners are involved in it 2 components
Infinite Disk Demonstrations
Infinite Disk has a lot of features not possible with any other remote storage.
1. Long Distances
Data files are created, read and deleted on a Disposable Node in Sydney Australia with a File Proxy in Tokyo, Japan and File Nodes distributed around the world.
Country | City | Ping |
---|---|---|
Australia | Sydney | 4.75ms |
Australia | Melbourne | 26.0ms |
Singapore | Singapore | 96.8ms |
India | Mumbai | 146.7ms |
South Korea | Seoul | 152.2ms |
USA | LA | 160.8ms |
Japan | Tokyo | 183.3ms |
USA | New Jersey | 235.3ms |
UK | London | 278.6ms |
Germany | Frankfurt | 283.5ms |
Canada | Toronto | 308.4ms |
Sweden | Stockholm | 316.7ms |
Pings are average round trip duration from Disposable Node in Sydney, Australia.
All files on the Infinite Disk are split into 11 pieces by the File Proxy and stored into 11 File Nodes worldwide.
2. Massive Writes
Storing Terabytes of real-time data from a 24x7 4K video feed in support of continuous AI recognition.
3. Universal Compatibility
Infinite Disk transparently extends ZFS functionality across the globe without any modification to ZFS, resulting in full support to computing applications (e.g. operating systems, databases, search engines etc.) that other remote storage system cannot handle.
