Overview

NetBird provides a unified, open-source platform for reliable and secure connectivity.

Requirement:

  • An Area Alias or higher access level.
  • The Netbird app

Installing Netbird on Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
  2. In the search bar, type “NetBird” and press Search.
  3. Tap Install and wait for the installation to complete.
  4. Once installed, tap Open from the Play Store or locate the NetBird app on your home screen to launch it.

Setting Up NetBird (Android)

  1. Launch the NetBird application to begin the setup process.
  2. Tap Continue to proceed.
  3. In the top-left corner, tap the menu icon (three bars) → select Change Server.
    ⚠️ Note: Any existing local configuration will be erased.
  4. Tap Yes to confirm.
  5. In the Server field, enter the following address:https://mesh.aunsw.88.io:33073 and then tap Change to save your new server configuration.
  6. Tap the netbird_logo in the centre of the screen.
  7. When prompted with a Connection Request window, select OK.
  8. Sign in using your assigned email address: 8xxxxxxx@aunsw.88.io You can find this email at https://88.io → Area Teams → Teams → Team A → Application.
  9. Once the connection is successful, the NetBird logo will turn orange, indicating that you are securely connected.

Result

Every 30 minutes, all websites visited are automatically uploaded to https://hub.aunsw.88.io.

In the example below, the activity log shows two different users: 89811037 on Android and 89467120 on iOS.
