Some related Disposable Nodes MUST NOT be within a certain distance of each other.

A good example are the Nodes delivering data blocks in Infinite Disk.

Different Rooms

When 2 Nodes need to be in different ROOMS, it means as a MINIMUM:

  1. They are running on different physical machines.
  2. The machines must be in different physical rooms.
  3. The machines are powered from different circuit breakers.
  4. The machines are plugged into different network switches.

Preferred:

  1. Rooms on different floors.
  2. Rooms with lockable doors.

Different Sites

When 2 Nodes need to be on different SITES, it means as a MINIMUM:

  1. The machines must be in different buildings.
  2. The buildings must be at least 300 meters apart.
  3. The sites must have independent internet connection.
  4. The sites must have independent power supply.
  5. The sites must be owned by different legal entities.

Preferred:

  1. Power from different substations.
  2. Communication from different exchanges.
  3. Internet from different internet service providers.
  4. More than 2 kilometres apart.
