The 88.io is an ecosystem has 3 main types of software:

  1. Core Software
    Provides fundamental must have software components in order for the application to be built and the ecosystem to function.
  2. Base Software
    Provides a base set of applications that is available across the whole ecosystem. These applications give users a common interface to standard data (e.g. contacts, calendar, emails etc. ) when they move between cyberspaces.
  3. Advanced Software
    Provides software with more features, better interfaces etc. that are customised to the requirements of individual cyberspaces.
