This is our first Long Term Support (LTS) release with bug fixes and security patches for at least 3 years.
- All October releases after this will also be LTS releases suitable for general production, with at least 3 years support.
- All other releases (January, April, July) are for entities that like to experience the latest technologies at the expense of stability by updating to new quarterly releases, these releases only have 1 year support.
Although updating once every year to the next LTS release is recommended, with an existing LTS release if you are happy with what you have, you generally do NOT have to update for at least 3 years. Your local Citizen Ecosystem might provide even longer support duration to LTS releases.
